The Chatwal, A Luxury Collection Hotel, New York

February 15, 2018

It’s not every day you get to stay in a luxury hotel such as the one The Chatwal New York has to offer. Not only is The Chatwal hotel located in the prime of midtown at 44th street, it is also a pet friendly hotel and evokes luxury feels. Before becoming The Chatwal New York, the iconic Stanford-White designed building at 130 West 44th Street was the epicenter of American theater for the 20th Century.

If I had to describe The Chatwal I would say it is sophisticated, luxe and unforgettable. It’s not a surprise that The Chatwal hotel was voted by Travel + Leisure as one of the top 10 hotels in all of New York City. With only 76 rooms, you’ll feel exclusive staying at this spacious hotel. Everything from the room design to the beds to the closets are perfected for us to breathe in sophistication.

Staying at the Director’s suite and the Producer’s suite were the two best nights of my life. The Director’s suite offers it’s own kitchen and tea tray with a spacious bathroom. The Producer’s suite had the prettiest staircase that lead us to our own rooftop and believe me the terrace view was breathtaking. The girls and I spent one night just drinking at our own private rooftop and bar. I would definitely recommend staying at this beautiful hotel if you’re looking for accommodation nearby to Times Square.

Valentines with Blacklane

February 14, 2018

First and foremost – Happy Valentines or Galentines to everyone! It’s finally that time of the year again where hallmark and every single florist shop is raking in on the profits. Every year I like to try something new, last year I tried dining on a ferris wheel and this year I decided I want to try Blacklane’s service.

With a fully licensed driver and a prestige vehicle – you can expect business class service from your chauffeur and what the car offers. 1 Hour prior to pick up time you will receive a text to inform and remind you. It also contains a phone number in which you can contact your driver if you will be running late or early from schedule. Our driver was John and he was very well-mannered. During the ride you can actually recline the chair, watch some TV and open the roof – pretty cool stuff huh? Would you try the Blacklane service? Comment below where you’d love Blacklane to take you.

NYFW Day 1 – Eugenia Kim, Tadashi Shoji, Laurence & Chico

February 9, 2018

New York Fashion Week has gone into full swing and I can tell you now nothing will prepare you for the madness you will experience this week. Having never been to New York Fashion Week before it was an eye opening experience to see influencers testing the boundaries of peacocking whilst freezing their butts off in the cold cold winter. This reminded me a little of Sydney Fashion Week except on a much much more larger scale. What’s interesting is that New York Fashion Week offers press showings whereby instead of a runway you actually have live models standing and posing in the outfits and showcasing to the media readily photographing them.

OOTD:
Wearing Eugenia Kim Hat & Bag, Stuart Weitzman Boots, Asilio one-piece and Cameo Collective Skirt.

Day 1 agenda:

Eugenia Kim Showing
I kid you not but I have always fallen in love with Eugenia Kim’s hats and today’s collection did not disappoint. This is the first time attending a presentation so I had no idea what to expect but upon walking in I saw influencers and media crowding around the models who were posing live. It was a different kind of experience to the runway shows but just as amazing. There were a few cute pieces that caught my eye such as the leopard cat beret, the hello kitty beret, the tiny clip on berets – need I say more? I clearly love berets haha! Have a look below at some of the collection I shot whilst at the presentation.
Tadashi Shoji Runway
This was my first time watching Tadashi Shoji runway and I was captured by the elegance of the collection. The dresses were timeless and came in all vibrant shapes and forms. This show was upbeat and I loved being able to capture and view the look in detail from front row. Have a look below at some of my favorite pieces I shot during the runway.
Laurence & Chico
Okay I kid you not I was so jet lagged I almost slept in for this presentation. Boy am I glad I made it there (fashionably late of course) because the presentation was jaw-dropping (in a GOOD way!). I really think the photos speak for themselves. Honestly this is an epic collection and definitely a brand to watch out for!

Chocolate Massage

January 24, 2018

Imagine being painted from head to toe in a generous layer of chocolate. The scent of chocolate fills the air and seeps into every pore. You can’t taste it but the room breathes and smells of chocolate. It almost feels wrong that I’m not eating all this chocolate and instead it’s being smeared all over my entire body. Holidays all year

January 7, 2018

The end of the first week of January is fast approaching and all I can think about is how to plan my next holiday and WHEN! For most of us we work a 9-5 job from Monday to Friday. We live for the weekend and spend every moment of the weekday counting down the days till we reach the weekend. Come Friday afternoon you get excited to take off for the weekend but your excitement is shortlived because in the blink of an eye it’s Sunday night and it suddenly sinks in that Monday is only hours away. You dread that feeling of tackling yet another work week. Does that sound familiar? That was me for a very very long time. So what do you have to look forward to? HOLIDAYS Continue Reading…

Emma & Roe

September 22, 2017

A new season means a change of style and, well for me, some new accessories. I’m not usually a big jewellery girl, but a good bracelet never did any harm. I’m not sure about you but I am often very fickle when it comes to jewellery. Most days I like to keep things pretty minimal but on special occasions I want a good statement piece. The problem is I can never really decide on one piece to wear every day but I also don’t want to spend endlessly on new jewellery every week. This is why charm bracelets were the answer.
