Holidays all year

January 7, 2018

The end of the first week of January is fast approaching and all I can think about is how to plan my next holiday and WHEN! For most of us we work a 9-5 job from Monday to Friday. We live for the weekend and spend every moment of the weekday counting down the days till we reach the weekend. Come Friday afternoon you get excited to take off for the weekend but your excitement is shortlived because in the blink of an eye it’s Sunday night and it suddenly sinks in that Monday is only hours away. You dread that feeling of tackling yet another work week. Does that sound familiar? That was me for a very very long time. So what do you have to look forward to? HOLIDAYS

Unfortunately for the average worker the basic entitlement for annual leave/holiday leave is 20 working days. That equates to roughly 4 weeks out of 52 weeks. That’s only a mere 7.69% of your year if you count the 4 weekends and I can assure you that’s 100% not enough of a break. More often than not it is also difficult for your boss to approve you to leave 6 times in a year for say a 2 week vacation each time.

What if I told you that you could do this by strategically planning the days you take off? You could have a holiday 6 times a year! Here’s a list of how you can strategically maximise your holiday time for 2018:
