Ibis Ambassador Myeong Dong

October 17, 2017

Good morning from Seoul! After a great few days in Seoul last week I thought I would continue my stay here at Ibis Ambassador Seoul Myeong Dong. Since I had such an amazing time in the last hotel at Ibis Styles I thought I would try out the other Ibis hotel in Myeong Dong.

The location of the Ibis Ambassador Seoul Myeong Dong hotel is still quite central in Myeong Dong and the best thing is how convenient it is to travel to and from the airport to the hotel. The 6015 bus literally drops you right in front of the steps of the Ibis Ambassador Seoul Myeong Dong hotel and the hotel is also conveniently next to a subway station. It is not only convenient in terms of transportation, it is literally situated in the middle of both the markets and streets of Myeong Dong as well as the high end luxe malls which are only a short walk across the road. Other great features include the fact that the best rate foreign currency exchange is located right around the corner of your hotel (in front of Zara), it is convenient for night time market shopping (I recommend checking out the street vendors for some amazing affordable street snacks as well as some cute fashion finds).

The reception of the hotel is located in the top floor of level 19 and has a pretty neat view of Myeong Dong. It also has a restaurant, gym facilities and a public bath within the top floor. The staff are also well trained in English and are so helpful when it comes to assisting with directions or with giving directions to your cab driver.

I was lucky enough to be staying in their Junior suite with a king bed which I found to be quite spacious. The room itself boasts 28 square metres, features free wi-fi, a tumbler, fireplace and separate seating area. I felt truly spoilt with the amount of room and space this suite allowed me to relax in.

I would definitely recommend you to try out their public bath facilities if you have the time. It’s a great place to debrief on your day’s worth of shopping and if you can, try to go early in the morning or in the afternoon where it is less busy.

When visiting and staying in Myeong Dong don’t forget to check out my favourite store LINE FRIENDS. If you have stayed here before let me know about your stay and experiences, if you haven’t please let me know your thoughts on my review.

What a fab chain of hotels that Ibis has! I love this one too and I honestly think location is everything when it comes to hotels. Myeong Dong is such a fab place to be in when visiting Seoul. The food, the shopping, the ambiance, it’s perfect and I love that this hotel is smack in the middle of it all! I really want to go back to Korea again soon and will have to check out Ibis hotel. This room is so spacious and I love that they have a gym in the hotel too. Thanks for the recommendations! xoxo, Christine

The Ibis is always a really trusted hotel brand when travelling and the Myeong Dong Ibis looks fantastic! I like the fact that the gym has a view- it’s always good to have a nice distraction when you’re sweating and in pain haha! Hope you had the best time in Korea 🙂

Such a fab and stylish hotel. I love the minimialistic and clean design of the hotel. I visited Myeong Dong like 2 years ago, and I love that location! Great for food and shopping, and having Ibis in the middle of all that, so such a superb location. For people who visit Seoul for the first time, this hotel would be an amazing choice. The gym looks nice too. When I travel abroad, I always look for hotels that has fully equipped gym so I can exercise even when I’m traveling. Thanks for sharing such an amazing hotel.

This hotel sounds like such a convenient one for travelers in Soul, it has everything from shopping to night market to bath houses. Everything looks so chic and minimal and I love that the staff speaks English. The junior suite looked really spacious, great for group travelings and the gym with a view seems to be the great motivation to work out while you are on the go.

It sounds like you stayed at another hotel with the perfect location! So great you got to stay a little longer and check out this hotel! Really making me want to travel to Myeong Dong. The public bath facilities look so interesting. Do they have room service or are they close to restaurants?

This sounds like a mother perfect Ibis hotel babe!! For me location is everything since you can avoid spending too much money in taxes if you are located in the main area. How convenient tat the hotels is in front of Zara this could be a danger for my credit card lol. I hope one day I get to visit Korea and stay here as well!

After reading your first post about Ibis hotel, I thought I would fancy visiting it one day. But now I’m absolutely in love with it! I wish I could visit Seoul one day and have this unique experience too! And I’ll definitely pay a visit to a Line Friends store for sure 🙂

Mandy, it is so nice that you were able to experience Ibis hotel in Myeong Dong in Seoul. As I spoke of before, I love a centrally located and convent hotel. The fact that it’s located next to Zara and the subway is icing on the cake. The lobby looks lovely and it’s so nice that you were able to stay in the junior suit. It sounds spacious and like an amazing place to unwind. The gym is perfect and I always like having that option when I stay. Thank you for another amazing review of Ibis hotel as it’s definitely somewhere I must stay at!

I love to travel, but the main thing I hate is how the airport isn’t always convenient to travel from to the hotel. It’s so cool that a convenient ride is offered to the Ibis Ambassador Seoul Myeong Dong! I also know from my experience, the reception desk is usually on the first floor. How cool is it that you get to see such incredible views from the top floor?! It’s also quite nice that they speak English, in the event no one else can understand me 😉 Great review babe!

The Ibis Ambassador Seoul Myeong Dong looks like such a cute hotel! Is it common to have a public bath in Seoul hotels? I think I have seen a few of my blogger friends mention public bath facilities.
It is perfect that this hotel is central, and easily accessible. I love a hotel that is is close enough to the market for shopping. I would definitely check out the street vendors!

    Thanks for sharing!

Mandy, take me please next time you are in Seoul. I would love to stay in all cool hotels, that you get to stay. Seoul is very unique place to travel to. I have stayed previously at Ibis hotels and they are usually nice, this one looks definitely amazing.

I really like Ibis hotel, they are not only budget friendly, but their beds are really comfy and the decoration is generally really good.

I haven’t been to Seoul but this one seems like a great option in terms of location and amenities (love that pool). Many thanks for the recommendation!

Oh the envy, dear Mandy! To visit Seoul is on top of my list and I hope I get to go there for FW soon and when I do, I’ll opt for my magazine to book me into the Ibis Ambassador Myeong Dong. It seems to have a perfect location with all kinds of things I expect (as I’ve not been) from an exciting night time market with snacks and a few fashion finds and the rooms (at least the one you stayed in) was spacious and has all the amenities one would need while traveling. After a long day of exploring I love winding down in hotel spas and their public bath is no exception as it looks dazzling! Hoping to stay there really soon!

Seriously girl!! You have the best life!! I used to stay in Ibis Hotels every time I travelled. I have always been a big fan of the hotel group – I really must get back to travelling more.

Seoul is definitely up there on my list to go and see – I just need to come up with a good excuse! 😉

    Thanks for sharing!
