Arlo SoHo

June 25, 2017

Good morning from the beautiful city of New York. Are you sick of my travels yet? Well I hope not because I’m about to talk to you about my stay at Arlo Soho.

Arlo Hotel Soho has a very different feel to other hotels that I have been to. It gives you that feeling that you’ve been here before. It’s that unplaceable-yet-undeniable sense of belonging. At Arlo Hotels, outsiders become insiders, and you feel welcomed as you are. Arlo is a haven for wanderers with purpose; a place to tuck away for your much-needed nap or call homebase while on urban safari. They also offer you the best essentials; without excess.

It’s also conveniently located in the south of Houston Street which basically places it at the crossroads of New York City’s favorite downtown neighborhoods. You will adore how conveniently close Arlo is to the leafy streets of SoHo with its boutiques and cafes as well as Hudson Square’s creative and design agencies. A short walk takes you to the historic West Village, TriBeCa (Triangle below Canal Street) and NYC’s financial district. This is where you want to be if you’re looking to stay in lower Manhattan!

The best part (and also my favourite) is that Arlo SoHo offers complimentary custom Priority Bicycles. Bikes are available for registered hotel guests through the Lobby Host. These all-weather bikes have 3 speeds, a bell, front basket and lock and are the perfect way for you to explore the city. This helped us go around a lot and saved us renting one of the Citi blue bikes but I do have to warn that they get snapped up fast (due to it being a first come first serve) so make sure to get the bikes early!

We stayed in a cozy city king which gave a very homey feeling and reminded me a little bit of the cruise ship type rooms (definitely very unique)! Last but not least I have to mention that Arlo SoHo had daily activities (ask the reception and they will give you a list of what’s on during the week of your stay) which I found to be very welcoming and social of the hotel. Also note that there is a little store at the lobby which has drinks and snacks as well as merchandise that you can purchase and lucky for you they are open 24/7 to feed any midnight cravings.

Have you ever tried staying at any of the Arlo Hotels? Would love to hear about your experience!

I’m not tired seeing your travels but I am a bit jealous 🙂 Soho is one of my favourite neighbourhood of NCY. All the shopping area and being close to West Village, TriBeCa and NYC’s financial district makes your visit even better. Arlo Hotel looks amazing, I love that cozy bed and the fact that they offer bikes for the guests. Biking around the central park and the city is simply fantastic. Glad you enjoyed your stay. I can’t wait to go back to NYC and I am will fore sure check this hotel before booking my trip!

I’m loving all of your traveling posts! I won’t be in the city until next year, but I will definitely look into staying at the Arlo hotel. It really is in a prime location and I love that this hotel has daily activities.

I’ve actually seen so many bloggers post about Arlo Hotels and have been so curious as to their stay there. It really looks cozy and comfy and the location sounds ideal. I love that they let you use the bikes because transportation in NYC can be crazy so I am sure it is much quicker to pedal to places yourself. So cute that they also have a list of daily activities. What a great way to spend your time in the city. I am hoping to go to NYC in the next year so I will definitely check Arlo out! xoxo, Christine

Soho is definitely one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC! And OMG you’ve been traveling so much lately girl, so much fun! Traveling is the best feeling ever! 🙂
The Arlo looks like the place to be! It looks so chic and modern and love the ‘boat style’ as well. It definitely reminds me of a cruise! So cool they have the bike service and that they’re happy to coordinate other activities.
Thanks for sharing girl. Adding it to my list of Hotels to check out next time I’m in NY since I’ve never stayed in Soho before.

We can’t be sick of your travels 🙂 I like to read about different countries/cities/hotels etc. This hotel looks amazing by the way (like the pictures) and you had a stunning view from your hotel room!

“Unplaceable-yet-undeniable sense of belonging”…your first paragraph brought me into the world of Arlo like no other and especially since I’ve never stayed at one! How wonderfully eco-friendly that they allow you to use their bikes! I adore that! The location sounds perfect too. We have a Cali-king so I’m spoiled when it comes to my bedding so I’m picky about hotel stay beds. However, this bed looks like I could really unwind and relax! It’s always great to have an idea of what to do when you are visiting a new city or even a new spot in town!

Such a luxury to have a nice comfortable King Bed when you travel. How cool is to offer bike rentals! It’s such an easy when to get around the town without going down to the dirty metros and avoiding the traffics in NYC. I love staying at boutique hotels they are often to homey! Thanks for another great recommendations in NYC. Bookmarking this for future references.

Checkout my recent stay at one of the boutiques in Notting Hill in London =)

You always stay at the most unique hotels. I think it’s so cool that this hotel offers bike rentals to its guests. I don’t think I’ve ever heard that before. I find it cool because I love riding my bikes specially in a big city with a lot of traffic. I am definitely adding this hotel to my list and I would love to stay there and experience it for myself.

Ooh I’m loving the social and modern vibes of Arlo Hotels. I’ve never stayed at one but I’d love to try the experience. I love the “everyone is included and welcome” feel. NYC is so crowded and transportation could be a pain, so the bike rental is such a great idea for guests. Also, that plush king sized bed looks like it’s calling my name haha

The Arlo Hotel looks very cozy. The fact that it has its own priority bikes is definitely an added comfort, it makes traveling in NYC less stressful. I like the idea behind it because it makes it possible to cut corners in terms of transportation without missing out on the good parts of the city. I hope you enjoyed your stay! Xo, Jessica

I don’t mind y0u discussing your travels at all. They give me inspiration and lots of help on the hotels I need to stay in the future! Arlo SoHo seems like the perfect hotel to go to, especially doing a lot of shopping in SoHo and having somewhere so close to drop of all my shopping bags, haha. I also love how they offer bikes to their guests. This would be a great selling point to my fiancé, as he loves being active on vacay!

  • Michelle June 29, 2017 at 12:59 PM
