Good morning from the beautiful city of New York. Are you sick of my travels yet? Well I hope not because I’m about to talk to you about my stay at Arlo Soho.
Arlo Hotel Soho has a very different feel to other hotels that I have been to. It gives you that feeling that you’ve been here before. It’s that unplaceable-yet-undeniable sense of belonging. At Arlo Hotels, outsiders become insiders, and you feel welcomed as you are. Arlo is a haven for wanderers with purpose; a place to tuck away for your much-needed nap or call homebase while on urban safari. They also offer you the best essentials; without excess.
It’s also conveniently located in the south of Houston Street which basically places it at the crossroads of New York City’s favorite downtown neighborhoods. You will adore how conveniently close Arlo is to the leafy streets of SoHo with its boutiques and cafes as well as Hudson Square’s creative and design agencies. A short walk takes you to the historic West Village, TriBeCa (Triangle below Canal Street) and NYC’s financial district. This is where you want to be if you’re looking to stay in lower Manhattan!
The best part (and also my favourite) is that Arlo SoHo offers complimentary custom Priority Bicycles. Bikes are available for registered hotel guests through the Lobby Host. These all-weather bikes have 3 speeds, a bell, front basket and lock and are the perfect way for you to explore the city. This helped us go around a lot and saved us renting one of the Citi blue bikes but I do have to warn that they get snapped up fast (due to it being a first come first serve) so make sure to get the bikes early!
We stayed in a cozy city king which gave a very homey feeling and reminded me a little bit of the cruise ship type rooms (definitely very unique)! Last but not least I have to mention that Arlo SoHo had daily activities (ask the reception and they will give you a list of what’s on during the week of your stay) which I found to be very welcoming and social of the hotel. Also note that there is a little store at the lobby which has drinks and snacks as well as merchandise that you can purchase and lucky for you they are open 24/7 to feed any midnight cravings.
Have you ever tried staying at any of the Arlo Hotels? Would love to hear about your experience!
