When you touch down from a 13hour flight from Sydney to Los Angeles all you want to do is indulge and relax in luxury and that’s why we headed straight to Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. After our amazing experience with the Sofitel Accor Hotels in Melbourne (see my review here) we were ready to experience the LA version.
Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is a stunning hotel in LA, offering elegant luxury accommodations and dramatic décor with an ambiance that combines see-and-be-seen excitement and the calm of an urban resort. Ideally situated on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly Boulevard, opposite the Beverly Shopping Center, this hotel is conveniently located near Cedar Sinai Medical Center, Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue & Sunset Boulevard. Discover a unique blend of French fashion mixed with Hollywood glamour.
Upon entering the hotel you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff and you’ll also see their amazing art display right near the elevators that take you up to your room. True to the artsy decor style of Sofitel Los Angeles the display is of an actor/director’s chair with a light shone on it.
The hotel also boasts a well equipped gym which overlooks into the street facing the Beverly Centre as well as a rooftop pool with cute cabana styled seating. Also if you’re up for indulging in some luxury me-time you can always opt to visit the spa. There is also a little concierge nearby the elevators and there you will find a friendly staff who can guide you with booking any visits to attractions, shows or give you maps that you may need. We had the staff personally book our tickets to Universal Studios and the hotel was able to give us a cheaper rate by booking through them so make sure you utilise this service.
Now let’s get to the room. The room we stayed in was the Hollywood Hill Luxury Room and let me tell you now, I highly recommend choosing this side purely for the view.
By far my favourite experience from staying at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is the exceptional service from the staff. In particular the night manager Deborah really helped us out when we accidentally got double charged on our card. What makes a huge difference to your experience is the staff and they did a great job in going above and beyond with resolving it. Deborah the night manager even hooked us up with some amazing breakfast for the following morning and it was absolutely delicious.
