Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills

May 5, 2017

When you touch down from a 13hour flight from Sydney to Los Angeles all you want to do is indulge and relax in luxury and that’s why we headed straight to Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. After our amazing experience with the Sofitel Accor Hotels in Melbourne (see my review here) we were ready to experience the LA version.

Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is a stunning hotel in LA, offering elegant luxury accommodations and dramatic décor with an ambiance that combines see-and-be-seen excitement and the calm of an urban resort. Ideally situated on the corner of La Cienega and Beverly Boulevard, opposite the Beverly Shopping Center, this hotel is conveniently located near Cedar Sinai Medical Center, Rodeo Drive, Melrose Avenue & Sunset Boulevard. Discover a unique blend of French fashion mixed with Hollywood glamour.
Upon entering the hotel you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff and you’ll also see their amazing art display right near the elevators that take you up to your room. True to the artsy decor style of Sofitel Los Angeles the display is of an actor/director’s chair with a light shone on it.

The hotel also boasts a well equipped gym which overlooks into the street facing the Beverly Centre as well as a rooftop pool with cute cabana styled seating. Also if you’re up for indulging in some luxury me-time you can always opt to visit the spa. There is also a little concierge nearby the elevators and there you will find a friendly staff who can guide you with booking any visits to attractions, shows or give you maps that you may need. We had the staff personally book our tickets to Universal Studios and the hotel was able to give us a cheaper rate by booking through them so make sure you utilise this service.

Now let’s get to the room. The room we stayed in was the Hollywood Hill Luxury Room and let me tell you now, I highly recommend choosing this side purely for the view.

By far my favourite experience from staying at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is the exceptional service from the staff. In particular the night manager Deborah really helped us out when we accidentally got double charged on our card. What makes a huge difference to your experience is the staff and they did a great job in going above and beyond with resolving it. Deborah the night manager even hooked us up with some amazing breakfast for the following morning and it was absolutely delicious.

Hope you enjoyed our review of our stay at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Have you stayed at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills? Let me know your thoughts on the hotel.

    Dear Mandy,
This has been such a pleasure to read. It’s been so exciting to see all your fascinating adventures on Instagram but I had to come to your blog to find out more about Sofitel Los Angeles At Beverly Hills. My husband and and I will be doing a bit of cross country traveling in July so I want to find the best places to truly get the most out of our traveling experience.
I love that you were so close to the Beverly Shopping Center and French Fashion mixed with Hollywood glamour sounds like total perfection to me! The artsy decor is truly unique and amazing to experience. I’m glad to see so many awesome captures of it. I love the fact that you got the discount at Universal Studios when you booked through the hotel.
The room is a pure delight with the most breathtaking view !
Can’t wait to read more here !!!

I’ve stayed at this hotel long, long ago and I definitely remember it being excellent in customer service and just so luxe. The best part really though is the location as you mentioned. It is close by to so many amazing eateries, shopping, sight seeing, etc. that you can’t go wrong staying here. I love the decor of this place and the spa looks incredible too. And how cute is that director’s chair backdrop? I do lots of staycations in LA and will check this place out the next time I am there! I am glad you had such a memorable time here in LA while you were visiting! I hope to see you next time babe! xoxo, Christine

I’ve never stayed at a Sofitel before, but both this review and your posts on the Melbourne branch really make me want to 🙂 This really looks like a fantastic place to relax and indulge after that long, dreaded flight. That spa looks so dreamy, I’d honestly be in there every day 🙂

I think that location is key when choosing any hotel and it’s so great that this hotel is close to everything, yet is still so luxurious. I hope you enjoyed Universal Studios- it’s so magical there!

Sofitel at Beverly Hill sounds like the perfect location for my next stay if I do go LA next time. It would be amazing to stay somewhere close proximity with Melrose, redeo and sunset blvd!!! This hotel looks so luxury and I love hotels with fully equipped gym. Although we might be on holidays, but there is no excuse to slack off! A fully equipped gym definitely keep my fitness life in order even when I’m traveling! Great recommendation and I’m saving this for my next trip =)

    Dear Mandy,
I’ve never stayed at the Sofitel Los Angeles by Beverly Hills, but boy, do I want to. From here it’s also a 13 hour flight to LA and all I’d want to to after that is head into the luxurious settings of this hotel, have a quick nap and then probably go to the well equipped gym or, to be quite honest, head to the spa instead. I don’t know if that’s a common thing for hotels to do, but no matter what the answer to that is, it’s great that they could get you cheaper tickets to Universal (and you don’t have to stand in the lines either) and that’s what I call great service. Heck, I’d make them book all of my LA must sees, haha. All of this seems so luxurious, contemporary and right up my alley and I’ll be sure to check out this hotel for my next stay in LA which won’t be too far from now, so thanks for a great review!
    xoxo

I’ve never stayed at the Sofitel hotel but I’ve been several times when I lived there!I love the rooms and the service! It’s so classy and luxurious. It’s also so centralized to everything. You’re so close to 3rd and weho where a bunch of cute restaurants are and close to robertson as well! It looks like the perfect place to stay after a 13 hour flight! I’m glad you had a wonderful stay. If you have time make sure to check out Esterel and I believe they have a lounge too? At least they used to. Next time I’m in town I’ll have to check out their spa and if I’m lucky I’ll stay there too!

Yay! I am glad you enjoyed the Sofitel in West Hollywood! This is one of my favorite staycation hotels. I agree, customer service is a huge thing for me and the staff here is very nice! Even if a hotel is five starts, a miserable staff will make for a miserable experience. I am glad they were able to resolve the charges! Hope you were able to experience the pool and gym!

The Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills – what can be better than these words? The design of this hotel is so versatile and futuristic! I’ve never been to LA before, but I’d definitely stay at this place for sure! The gym, the SPA area and the pool look so great. But more importantly is the staff. I totally agree with you, the professional staff is literally the face of the hotel.

I love visiting a hotel where the staff is not only friendly with great customer service, but can also help with tourist things. It’s so awesome that they were able to help with visits to attractions and directions. It’s so annoying when I ask and they can’t! I live for a good view when staying in a hotel because I enjoy seeing what the city has to offer and also enjoying the time I’m in the hotel. It really seems like you had a great experience at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. I’d definitely stay there!

Wow what a wonderful stay. This place looks dreamy, and I totally need to put this place down on places to go when I’m in Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. I love when they make hotels look so luxurious and homie. When I was in LA I was there for a short amount of time and we didn’t stay there. I would be trying to get into that spa every change I would get. While traveling you always try to get out and see all the views, but I’m always ready to relax, and also do other adventurous things. ….like lay on the beach.

This hotel is only a few blocks away from where I live and it’s one of my favorite hotels in LA. It’s so glamorous and it’s so conveniently located in the heart of the city. I’ve never stayed there but I have attended many events there and its always been a great experience. Also, their spa is pretty amazing. I am so glad you had a great time. You should come back to LA soon.

I’m so jealous of all your fabulous travels lately. I have been to LA many times but never stayed at this hotel. It looks very glam and so luxurious, right up my alley. I am heading there in two weeks with my hubby. Haven’t booked a hotel yet as we don’t know which area we are staying but this location sounds fabulous for me to shop while my hubby goes to all his business meetings:)
Did you enjoy the Universal Studios? Thank you for you review, love all the pictures you shared. Glad you had a great time!

This hotel looks absolutely amazing; another great hotel from the Sofitel chain. I completely agree with you, customer service is everything for me too when I am looking to book a hotel. I am so glad that the hotel staff was so friendly with bookings. It can be so frustrating being tourists and making all of these bookings ourselves. I am in love with the classy and luxurious decor; and the facilities also look fantastic. I would love to stay at the Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, when I visit next and especially stay in the Hollywood Hill Luxury Room. Such a fantastic experience Mandy. I am looking forward to more pictures from your trip.

Hope you’re having a wonderful time in the States :).

I have been to Sofitel many times for events, dinners and even spa but never got to stay here. Loved the location, I mean across from the Beverly Center, with all the designer names what is not to love? I love the chic, clean lines of the decor and interior for the rooms. Plush bathrobe is a must for any luxury hotel lines. Great review, maybe I’ll stay here next time for staycation.

I’ve always wanted to stay at this hotel in all my visits to LA. The rooms and amenities look immaculate and quite stunning to be honest – definitely a well-appointed place to stay. And after such a long flight, I can only imagine how much you needed to have a kind staff to make you feel at home. xo, Jessica

I been a fan of staying at Sofitel properties since long time. My first one was in Uruguay and absolutely love it. They are so elegant and chic at the same time. This one from LA looks absolutely stunning and the idea of been blend with French fashion mixed with Hollywood glamour sounds amazing. For sure need to add this hotel to my places to visit when Im back to LA.
