In Collaboration with PARKROYAL on Pickering
Everyone always talks about the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool but have you ever heard of the infinity bath tub? Until you’ve tried the infinity bath tub you haven’t truly experienced the bath life. During my trip to Singapore with the Covered team I was lucky enough to be staying in the new PARKROYAL on Pickering hotel. This is a hotel-in-a-garden and it’s a gem that you don’t want to miss out on when travelling to Singapore. Today I’ll review for you my experience during my stay at the PARKROYAL on Pickering.
Upon driving to the entrance you can look up and see a gorgeous grey coloured building surrounded by layers of pretty greenery. Once you step inside you are greeted by the hotel porters who offer to take your bags to the designated room whilst you get acquainted with the hotel reception staff. At this point it’s important to note that this isn’t a normal hotel where you check in at the lobby. At the lobby you are given complimentary cocktails and you are then taken personally to your room by a special staff member designated just for you.
We were led to our room on level 15 (the highest floor for rooms) by Daniel who also took the time to let us know of the facilities that were available to us during our stay. The room we stayed in was the Orchid Club Deluxe Room which featured an infinity bath tub. It was in our room that Daniel helped to check us in and explained to us the privileges we had such as two pieces of free laundry a day, complimentary minibar beverages (non-alcoholic) & snacks, free internet plus local calls and best of all late checkout up to 2pm. He also mentioned to us that we had access to the Orchid Club Lounge at level 16 which serves breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails. Pretty cool right?
After we finalised our check in we naturally were excited to explore the different facilities and floors. The first on the list was the infinity pool on level 5. I’m not even going to lie after walking the 300m Garden walk and spending some time blogging inside the pretty birdcage-inspired cabanas I was won over. I no longer needed to swim in the Marina Bay Sands infinity pool because I was able to look at the pretty city whilst swimming in this magical place.
Moving right onto the food you have three options.
Option one is Lime Cafe downstairs at the lobby. This is personally my favourite as it offers such a huge variety of cuisines for your suiting. You literally cannot go wrong here.
Option two is the Orchid Club Lounge up at level 16. This is for those who prefer a little less noise and perfect for those who always opt for the continental kind of breakfast. Both options are buffet style but extremely different vibes.
Last but not least Option three is Room Service which is perfect for late night when hunger strikes or for those who are jet lagged after a long flight. Anyway that’s enough about food let’s get back to what initially caught my attention – the infinity bath tub.
Until this point I had never heard of an infinity bath tub but essentially this is a bath tub designed not to spill if you overfill it. If you’re like me and obsessed with Lush bath bombs this is the perfect bath situation. It is located near the window and has the perfect view for your relaxation time in the bath.
I hope you enjoyed my review of the PARKROYAL on Pickering hotel!
