Prom Story

In Collaboration With Ever Pretty

For many high-school students, the prom marks the beginning of their transition from teenager to adulthood. In Australia we don’t have a prom. We do have something called a ‘formal’ but it’s definitely got nothing on those US proms.

My junior and senior prom or ‘formal’ involved short hemmed dresses, a lot of food, even more alcohol, dates gone missing and plenty of dancing. In short it wasn’t really memorable. When I received this dress from Ever-Pretty it reminded me of the time Stanley and I recreated our own prom. I surprised him with a limousine pick up and took him to a Ferris Wheel dinner at The Decks Luna Park. I don’t think any of us had ever dined on a Ferris Wheel before so it was magical when the sun set and we got to oversee the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The reason this beautiful dress reminded me of that was because of how similar the styles were. This dress features a padded halter neck at the front but an almost straight strap at the back. The dress flows perfectly and gives off the prom vibes.
